A Level Science Practical Endorsement
The number one Private Exam Centre for A Level Biology, Chemistry & Physics Science Practical Endorsement
A Level Biology, Chemistry & Physics Science Practical Endorsement
We are delighted to announce our Autumn 2021 and Spring 2022 dates for the A level Common Practical Assessment Criteria (CPAC’s), commonly referred to as the Science Practicals endorsement.
We have been approved by the JCQ to carry out the 12 Science Practical’s for the A Level CPAC’s (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) for the following Awarding Bodies – Pearson, OCR, Eduqas and AQA.
We know it works, the lead monitor for the JCQ’s A Level Science Practicals commented:
“Thank you very much for letting me visit the centre and observe a practical activity. I was very impressed with your understanding and implementation of the practical endorsement.”
The Exam Boards state that candidates are expected to have completed 12 practicals for the practical endorsement in addition to the three written examination papers. The practical’s do not count towards the final grade but the content of paper 3 is based on them. We are offering three full practical days, preceded by a compulsory lab experience day.
The lab familiarisation, held on Day 1 is primarily for candidates to learn how to handle equipment safely and to experience what is expected from them. It will also be an ideal opportunity to speak to the teachers and learn about the CPAC requirements. It also includes the first practical. Day 2 will cover three practicals and Days 3 & 4 will cover four practicals each.
We keep the class sizes small.
The cost of each science practical is £925 per subject.
Tutors and Exams will deliver CPACs at our dedicated laboratory in Birmingham. Please click on link for new CPAC dates by venue/subjects below:

We look forward to seeing you in our laboratories and have introduced additional measures in response to COVID – 19 which we keep under constant review in order to keep our staff, you our candidates and the wider community safe at this time.
As you would expect, our laboratories maintain high clinical control standards so you will see little change there. However, currently any communal areas are closed, and you will need to be wearing a face mask outside of the laboratory. There is no food or drink provided so please ensure you bring sufficient to see you through the day.
Wear warm clothes, lots of layers, we will have some windows open to maximise the ventilation in the room which is a key factor in minimising the risk of infection.
Bring your own lab coat if you want, this is not classed as PPE equipment and must not be shared with other candidates.
Bring your own laptop – electronic work.
We will not be conducting any respiratory experiments during these sessions.
We have booked a separate room for everyone to store their bags and eat their lunch to keep you safe and separate from other people in the building.
We will provide:
- Protective eyewear for your sole use each day that will be sterilised overnight ready for the next day
- Plastic aprons.
- Face masks are not compulsory, but we will still provide them.
- Non-alcoholic antibacterial hand sanitiser and wipes, please do not bring your own (alcoholic hand gel is flammable and could ignite whilst using the Bunsen burners).
- Nitrile gloves.
Each CPAC group will be considered as a ‘bubble’ as attendees will not be interacting with other students at the venue.
Please be aware that your tutor will observe the recommended 2 metres distancing where possible and will wear full PPE.
