Learning Partner Description
Arts Discovery was set up by Jenny Wells, a former home educating parent, teacher and examiner of over 16 years experience, to bring English, film and visual art and art history to home educated students. Jenny has been teaching home educated students online since 2014. Arts Discovery brings together a range of pathways for home educated learners: it is an Arts Award centre and has classes from KS2 to GCSE and A-level online, plus 1:1 tuition and workshops by request. All teaching is founded on the values of inclusiveness, inter-disciplinary reach, to ignite the ‘fire’ with provision that is flexible and supportive. Jenny is experienced in supporting diverse learning styles, including dyslexic, anxious and ASD learners. Her lessons are known for building confidence by creating a relaxed and dynamic rapport, meeting the student’s individual needs – learning what motivates them and fostering self-esteem and study skills – qualities which can be carried forward into all areas of education and life.
I keep my lessons fun and motivating, while providing guidance and support so students are engaged in learning and building self-confidence on the way to their goals.
