I’m a current Head of Department and have worked at a senior level both in the UK and internationally with a number of exam boards. I am experienced in teaching Python, C#, Exam Reference Language and pseudocode. I have also authored a wide range of published resources. I have a proven record of boosting student grades and look forward to supporting you to develop your knowledge of Computer Science. I started my career as a software engineer and have been Head of Computer Science at a leading independent school for the past 12 years.
I specialise in teaching Computer Science from KS3 up to A Level. I have supported students in both theory and practical aspects of Computer Science. In terms of programming languages I mainly teach Python, ERA and C#. I also have experience of VB. For KS3 I have delivered sessions using Make:Code, HTML and CSS.
My teaching style is very supportive and patient in nature. I enjoy carefully differentiating activities to support the very specific needs of the individual. Everyone learns slightly differently so I ensure that the activities are ones which you enjoy and gain the most from. I will always help you to build skills from your current capability level, no matter what that is currently.
