Managing Director, Claire Rose, specialises in international education (advising families relocating from/ to the UK) as well as supporting ‘other educated’ learners in the UK; that is traditional homeschooling families, but also adult learners, professional athletes and footballers, actors, internationally-mobile families, and others who, for one reason or another, do not attend ‘mainstream’ education (including learners with specialist physical/ social/ mental/ learning needs). Having worked as a teacher, senior leader and examiner in both British and international schools over a period of 20 years, Claire is uniquely placed to offer advice to parents on a diverse range of educational topics. Now a Senior Education Consultant, she works in partnership with assessment centres and distance learning providers as an Accreditor/ Senior Moderator for Non-Examined Assessments (NEA/ ‘coursework’). In 2020, following the cancellation of exams in the UK, Claire assisted a number of schools and assessment centres, including Tutors and Exams, to establish a process for awarding Centre Assessed Grades (CAGs) to private candidates. Claire is also an Assistant Principal Examiner (globally) for the International Baccalaureate Organisation and a founding member on the board of directors for a new international school in Nagaland, India; this year, she is also studying part-time at the University of Oxford. She is a member of the Chartered College of Teaching (CCT), The Tutors Association (TTA) and the Society of Education Consultants (SEC).
