An EAR is a review of the marking of a student’s examination script(s).
An EAR (Enquiries About Results) is a review of the marking of a candidate’s examination script(s).
For the January 2024 exam series, the result days are as follows:
JCQ (Pearson/Edexcel, AQA, OCR, WJEC/Eduqas)
Pearson International A Level – Thursday 7th March 2024 from 8am

Our Results Services
Once you’ve received your results, you might need to use one of our results services. Here’s what we offer:
- Access To Scripts – also known as ATS. This is where you can request copies of your scripts.
- Service 1 – Clerical check – This where the Awarding Organisation (AO) will check that each question has been marked and that all the marks have been added up correctly. You can also request this with a copy of the script as well.
- Service 2 – Review of marking – This is NOT a remark! This is where the AO will check that grading/mark scheme has been applied correctly. You can request this with a copy of the script as well. Also, you can request this as a priority service if it is for Cambridge International and JCQ AS/A Levels in the summer season.

You want to make an enquiry… what next? You need to complete and submit the EAR consent form below. Once received, you will be invoiced and once the invoice is paid, the EAR will be submitted to the appropriate Awarding Organisation.
Once the outcome letter has arrived from the Awarding body, it will be emailed to the candidate or the contact that was given on the application.

If you have requested Access to Scripts, these too will be emailed to the candidate or contact on the application.
- Please note, if you have requested a Service 2 and the outcome is that the AO has made an error within the first marking process and your GRADE has increased, you will get a partial refund (equalling to the amount that the AO charges us for the Enquiry).
You are required to complete all sections of the form.
