Remote Invigilation Service for some Pearson International GCSE & AS/A Level subjects

Tutors & Exams are delighted to work in Partnership with Pearson to bring Remote Invigilation to Private Candidates.

Please Note: We only offer International GCSE linear exams, not modular. 

Subjects Available

The exams available through Remote Invigilation Service which are all Pearson International GCSEs (Summer and Autumn series only):

Paper-based:

  • Mathematics A (4MA1)
  • Further Mathematics (4FM1)
  • Biology (4BI1)
  • Chemistry (4CH1)
  • Physics (4PH1)
  • Science (Double Award) (4SD0)
  • French (4FR1)*
  • German (4GN1)*
  • Spanish (4SP1)*
  • Religious Studies (4RS1)

*The speaking tests for these languages will also be conducted onscreen, however please bear in mind time zone differences if applying from abroad.

Dates & Costs

Key dates for Summer 2026

  • 22nd  December 2025 – 12 noon Deadline for parents to send evidence of Access Arrangements to Tutors & Exams including signed GDPR form
  • 16th January 2026  – 12 noon Entry deadline for candidates for applications to have been received, invoiced and paid
  • Familiarisation session (try before you buy, for free!) – Week Commencing 8th December 2025

Cost

The cost is the price of our exam as shown on our fees page plus a Remote Invigilation fee of £300 (per subject not paper), or for IAS/IAL’s £150 per unit.

Important Requirements to consider 

  • The additional costs to the usual exam fees involved – International GCSE’s are £300.00 per subject. International AS/A Level are £150.00 per unit for the Remote Invigilation service plus VAT where applicable.
  • We strongly encourage you to participate in the familiarisation sessions to understand the remote invigilation processes.
  • The Additional equipment required including a laptop with webcam, screen sharing facility and a separate device to be set up to record the exam. Also, a good quality printer and reliable Internet connection.
  • To verify your identity, you will be required to show and take a photo of your ID on screen during signup.
  • Paper-based exams will require an answer booklet to be printed ahead of the exam and then the finished scripts need to be scanned and uploaded to Pearson.
  • A Parent/Guardian must be present to supervise the exams at all times.
  • All entries must be made via Tutors & Exams.
  • All speaking tests, familiarisation sessions, live invigilation windows and final exams will be managed/invigilated by Pearson.

Access Arrangements

We are able to accommodate requests for Access Arrangements for Remotely Invigilated exams such as:

  • Extra time
  • Rest breaks
  • Personalised requirements (e.g. white noise machines, noise suppression buds, ear defenders, fidget toys)

We are unable to offer the provision for Reader/Scribe.

Please note: The deadline date for the applications and submission of any evidence is 12 noon 22nd December 2025. If your evidence is submitted after the deadline date, we are unable to offer or process your application via remote invigilation. 

Please Note: Mock exams can ONLY be sat in centre and not remotely for this service.
