Cash for Kids: Overnight Charity Fundraiser

On the 28th of September, the Chief Executive of Tutors & Exams, Chris Spraggett, fearlessly volunteered to be locked up overnight in HM Shrewsbury Prison to support Cash for Kids Midlands.

Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity helping the children that need it most across the UK. Their mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs.

Throughout the night, Chris found himself in the company of music legends UB40, TV Chef Glynn Purnell, Professional Blogger Mr Airborne, and the talented young actor Liam Scholes – to name a few! It was a surreal encounter that added an extra layer of excitement to an already exhilarating event.

Thanks to the generosity of the public and dedication of the inmates, over £50,000 was raised for the charity! Chris played a vital role in this achievement with an impressive £2,285 in donations.

“I am so grateful to everyone, customers, suppliers, staff, and the public, for all their support and contributions. Kids across the Midlands will be able to get a chance in life. I’m very humbled and thankful to EVERYONE involved!” Chris says.

If you haven’t already, there’s still time to show your support! Visit Chris’s fundraising page and donate now. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.
