Ofqual Release Information to Candidates on Summer 2020 Results

Ofqual have today, 15th August 2020, released important guidance about Summer 2020 results.  

This notice only applies to the JCQ Awarding Bodies at this stage. It is not applicable to CAIE (Cambridge Assessment International Education) examinations. 

Following this announcement, we are now reviewing the guidance and taking advice from the Awarding Bodies on how to best proceed. We await formal notification by the Awarding Bodies, due to be released on Monday 17th August 2020. 

Our understanding, at this stage, is that mock paper grades alone will not be sufficient to appeal a grade. All eight criteria in the Ofqual notice above will need to be met. 

Emails received asking for an appeal will not be responded to at this stage. Once we have received all the necessary advice we will notify you, via your portal, as to the steps we will be taking.
