Before we start, we’d like to just confirm that following the government’s announcement on the 30th October we would like to confirm that we are still be running Autumn examinations. Schools, colleges, and universities are not closing throughout this four week national lockdown and exams will be going ahead as planned.
As always, we have strict COVID-19 protocols in place to ensure that our centres are safe for both our candidates and our staff. Please read your COVID-19 portal notice for the measures we have implemented.
It’s been another busy month for the team at Tutors & Exams and we’re here to keep you up to date on all the latest news. The Autumn examinations continue having started on the 2nd October and due to finish on the 23rd November.
During this really busy period, the safety of our staff and candidates is our top priority so we have implemented a number of practices and protocols to keep our centres Covid secure. Here are a few as a reminder:
- We have air sanitizing (fogging) machines in all of our centres/exam rooms. This will destroy 99.99% of harmful airborne bacteria and infectious organisms and can be used on all surfaces including soft furnishings.
- Only our staff and candidates may enter the buildings. We ask that you wear a mask until you are sat at your exam desk.
- We have hand sanitising stations in place in all of our centres. Please use these when entering the building.
- Always observe social distancing where possible.
Finally, don’t forget that our entry deadline date for Summer 2021 exams, to avoid late fees, or even high late fees is 7th February 2021. However, this is subject to change dependent upon examination dates set by Awarding Bodies.
We hope you all saw the government announcement on 12th October that students now have more time to prepare for their exams next year, as most AS, A Levels and GCSEs will be held three weeks later to help address the disruption caused by the pandemic and allow students more teaching time.
