January 2021 Exams

January 2021 Exams

As you will be no doubt be aware, there’s a lot of news about GCSE and A Level exams being cancelled for the summer 2021 series. However, we can confirm that January 2021 Exams are going ahead as planned. Pearson Edexcel have also confirmed that their International GCSE’s will be going ahead as planned in the Summer 2021 series. See the update here

This will no doubt set the vast majority of our Private Candidates minds at rest. However, we also understand that this will also raise other concerns. The Tutors & Exams Team have been busy in the background and can confirm that everything is above board and you are exempt from travel restrictions whilst attending your exams in our setting. If you do have any concerns about attending your exams then we ask that you contact your entering centre to see what your options are. We will do our upmost to ensure a satisfactory solution for all parties. Contact Us

It is important to remember that International GCSE’s are not regulated by Ofqual and the Awarding Bodies will be working within the law. The January 2021 Exams are important for learners looking to progress to Higher and Further Education.

International GCSE and International A Levels are an alternative to the UK GCSE and A Levels. They are not included in the announcements made by the DfE and remain the responsibility of the individual awarding bodies. Those awarding bodies will issue their own guidance which we will follow. Centre Assessed Grades (CAGS) are not an option for January International GCSE’s as the exams are going ahead.

News will be posted on our Social Media platforms, websites and portals as we receive it.
